Dear Naz, I am emailing you after a fantastic 2015/16 season. As Head Coach of the Peterborough Phantoms Ice Hockey club, I would personally like to thank you for your dedication and hard work in keeping my players fit and well and most importantly on the ice. Without your impeccable knowledge, professionalism and excellent service, we would not have been able to compete to the high standard we have, throughout the season. Ice Hockey is a strenuous sport, with 67 games played in the season and on each and every shift our players will be hit, make hits, strain muscles on each and every turn and give 110% in speed and skill. Without you this would not be possible for those players to get on the ice and compete, which helped us reach second in the League, to the finals in the Cup and reach the Play Off Finals Weekend. Dear Naz, I have been a long term sufferer of lower back problems and have visited Chiropractors many times, usually with a good degree of success. Earlier this year however that situation changed. Despite several appointments with both the Chiropractor and their resident sports masseuse I found myself with constant niggling back pain which nothing would relieve. I was struggling to complete a round of golf as my back would stiffen up completely within minutes of finishing a game. On my first visit you were the consummate professional as you always were on subsequent visits and carried out an in depth assessment of my problem. You then discussed a course of treatment with me explaining in simple terms exactly what you intended doing at each stage and gained my agreement to proceed. Imagine my amazement when after just a couple of visits the pain had subsided and I was able to complete a round of golf with much less discomfort and without the stiffening that I had been experiencing for several months. Indeed after just a handful of visits we agreed that I needed no further treatment. As a results of this experience I would highly recommend you to all my family and friends and in future you will be my first port of call. Thank you

Hi Naz, Just to let you know that I managed to get round the full 26.2 without having to stop for my knee. I did get a bit of pain for the last 5 miles, but I think I would have anyway. The good news is that my knee doesn't feel much worse than it did last week, so thanks for your help in getting me to the start line. I've no doubt I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help. My time was 3:35:54, which I was happy with considering no training for 3 weeks close to the race. Naz welcomed me to the Ultimate Performance Pilates class whilst I was 18 weeks pregnant. She adapted the exercises where necessary and I went to the classes right up to my due date. During my first pregnancy I had tried yoga, which was lovely, but the Pilates classes with Naz gave my body strength to go through most of my labour on my feet. Having run the whole way through my pregnancy, I was keen to join postnatal Pilates 6 weeks after birth to start work on repairing and strengthening my body. First thing to say, despite being quite active my body was changed- balance terrible, muscles loose and terribly sleep deprived. I love that baby comes with you to the class, and you're welcome to feed them, change them at any point- but toys are there to entertain them. The women in the class were all lovely and there because they valued their body too. What sets this class apart from all the others I have attended is that it is one of the few mother and baby groups which is aimed at the mother. The babies come too, but the whole purpose of the session is to focus on you. That felt nice. 6 weeks of starting with Naz the connections between muscle groups started to be apparent- I could feel my body healing. I attended for two courses in total and I can honestly say my body feels better now than it did before pregnancy. I'm going to start attending regular Pilates at UPL as I'm so impressed by the results. I can also now stand on one leg without almost falling over like in the pre- course assessment.

I attended pregnancy Pilates classes from my 22nd week and right up to 2 days before I had my daughter. I was busy and already have a small child so I really found the classes were my way of relaxing and focusing on my pregnancy. They defiantly made me feel more supple, maintain flexibility and were a good way of practising the dreaded pelvic floor exercises. Naz is a calm and genuienly caring instructor; she always made sure we were comfortable and able to perform the positions to exercise to the best of our individual ability. I believe that practising Pilates attributed to my straight forward labour. I had a normal delivery with no complications and have now started post natal Pilates with my 6 week old. I am pleasantly surprised with how I am able to complete the class with relative ease and I plan to continue to use Pilates to improve my core strengthg and tone.

I have been attending the Friday morning Pilate classes for some time. They are conducted by qualified physiotherapists. The instructions during class are very clear, options are given so that if you have a physical problem you can still take part. The classes are the best I have attended really excellent. I was thrilled to see the improvement in my foot after a triple fusion. I could hardly lift my foot at the beginning - in fact, the Physiotherapist at the hospital said (after one session) that because of the nature of my operation I wouldn't GET any flexibility. Fran greeted me with, 'I like a challenge!' She certainly rose to that challenge and by the time I had had only 6 sessions I could bend my foot almost 90%. Well done, Fran!

As part of my training I’d been visiting Fran for eight months for sports massages before unfortunately dislocating my right shoulder whilst kayaking. Three weeks post operation my physiotherapy sessions started with Fran. Within two weeks I had 75% range of movement back. With Fran keeping a close eye on my progress and giving me new exercises each session, I was able push the boundaries more than my consultant may have liked. With her help and guidance, twelve weeks post operation I was back kayaking on white water and out on my road bike even earlier….. I was originally told that it would be between four to six months before I could return to kayaking at a similar level of intensity! Six months on and I’m in a position where both shoulders are now stronger than they were before the dislocation. Training is back in full swing and I’m still visiting Fran for sports massages.

Dear Naz. I wanted to write to you formally to tell you the impact attending Pilates with you weekly has had on my life. I have suffered with lower back pain all of my adult life as a result of hip displacement and subsequent scoliosis. Prior to starting Pilates with you, for the first 2-3 hours of the day I was in acute pain and struggled to manage simple tasks like putting on shoes and getting into my car without experiencing sharp pain due to trapped nerves. I was frequently visiting my Osteopath and despite trying Yogalates at home I wasn’t able to build up enough core strength to stabilise my pelvis and back. After just 6 classes of Pilates I noticed the difference, and am now in pain only 1-2 times a week as opposed to every day. The pain is far easier to manage now and will normally subside with a few stretches or engaging my core muscles to stabilise my back. What is particularly unique is as Physiotherapists you are able to guide me during the class, correcting posture and tailoring the classes to fit the various injuries and issues of those attending. The classes are such good fun, a real mix of men and women, and I have been delighted that 3 other members of my family also come along with me each week on Thursday evening, and have found Pilates beneficial to them, most especially in reducing sports injuries for the men. I would encourage anyone thinking about getting fit in the New Year to attend Pilates with Ultimate Perfomance Lifestyle, as weekly classes have been an easy and enjoyable habit for me to adopt. Not only have it greatly reduced the pain I was experiencing, I have also lost several inches from my waist, was a beneficial and most welcome side effect! Thank you Fran and Naz, for persuading me to come along – it has made a big impact on my lifestyle.

I visited my doctors in regards to a pain in my neck and after having an X-ray was told that it was normal wear and tear, and to take painkillers. As my wife considers me to be a pain, taking painkillers makes me very nervous and doing so for the rest of my life, no thanks. I tried Ultimate Performance Lifestyle they sorted me out in just a few visits. I have virtually no pain so I can only say thank you thank you thank you. Thank you for showing me around the excellent facilities at Ultimate Performance Lifestyle and, in particular for introducing me to the delights of sports massage. As with many people, I've suffered from occasional stress and tension in the neck area and didn't realise how effective sports massage was in releasing those long-term tension knots and how the service isn't just for highly-toned athletes (of which I'm not one)! The service was relaxed, friendly and great value for money. I have finally had my steroid injections in my neck, my shoulder pain is so much better and headaches have completely gone! There is still some discomfort from time to time but I can live with that. I just wanted to thank you to Naz for your treatment. You are a great team and the first physios that I have seen that seemed to take a genuine interest in getting to the route of the problem! I found out about Pilates at Ultimate Performance Lifestyle by picking up a leaflet and decided to go along. I wanted to strengthen my back, improve my flexibility and to generally tone up. I was immediately struck by how friendly the physiotherapists Naz and Frances are. I was a complete beginner to Pilates and have now been going for about 8 months. I am really enjoying it and improving each week. Every session is different, filled with lots of variety with relaxing music playing in the background. Naz always offers support and tailors exercises to individual's different ability levels. I always finish Pilates sessions feeling strengthened and refreshed. I have also found it very helpful to have attended physio at Ultimate Performance Lifestyle. My back pain has improved greatly with a series of regular physio. Naz has given me friendly advice and several exercises that I can practise at home.

I have been using UPL for about 5 months for my physio in preparation for the London marathon 2013. She has kept my muscles injury free and in great condition. I have been doing Pilates for about 7 months and love it. Feel so much better and can tell a difference with my body, has really toned me and the girls are great. Very professional and friendly, and always willing to help with any problems with regards to injuries. I've also had sports massage as I do a lot of running it was amazing, (best massage I have ever had) as well as having Physio with Naz for my knee. The best thing I did was Pilates, it makes me feel great and I can so see the benefits so give it a go, I never miss a class... that's how good it is!

I have had Physiotherapy and my Physio knows exactly where to put those needles (acupuncture)! Its helped me in my recovery after an RTA. I was recommended to try Pilates as it may help to aid my recovery and now I can't wait for my next lesson!

I have been attending UPL for a little over 6 months now. I am a former Parachute Soldier who's body is fair to say has had its fair share of knocks over the years. I am getting on in years but still enjoy competitive sport. I am terribly prone to injuries mainly due to historical neglect, lack of stretching etc. I have been attending the Pilates sessions run by Naz and have had rehabilitation massage. I cannot fault either experience and cannot praise their dedication and expertise enough. They are welcoming, kind and highly professional. This year is my 50th birthday. I am aiming to grade to Black Belt in Karate, and on June the 22nd will attempt the France Iron-man Triathlon in Nice. I could never contemplate either without the exercises Naz has taught me in her excellent targeted sessions. UPL has been able to diagnose my injuries and treated them with immediate effect with her skills as a Physiotherapist. My only regret is that I can't attend more sessions due to a busy work schedule. I first saw Naz for physio on my shoulder. Her approach was very professional & friendly which made me feel confident that she would be able to help me. The treatment was excellent & as an ex dancer, now dance teacher I would never go anywhere else! I had a sports massage after I’d had bad bronchitis & again a friendly & professional approach was given. I soon realised that Naz is a fantastic physios & I now go for regular sports massage which as a teacher of classical ballet & dance I could not continue without their care. I also refer any of my student dancers I work with on to them as I know Naz will be able to treat them in order for them to return to their training safely. They both are dedicated physios who clearly care a lot about their clients. Thank you to you both.

Before coming across to Ultimate Performance Lifestyle I had previously been referred by my doctor for six sessions of Physiotherapy at my GP surgery. This turned out to be a complete waste of time. Then my wife Elaine mentioned me to you and after the first few sessions my knee was beginning to respond to the treatment. Although I’m still having treatment I’m now starting to feel better in myself, and pending another railway medical hoping to get back to work very shortly. My first class with Naz was brilliant! Having not done Pilates for a number a years I was nervous about my ability and confidence to do the exercises. However, Naz seemed to instinctively know this and tailored ‘my moves’ to suit my level – as well as keeping an eye on all the other attendees. The routine was seamless and well-paced – being intensive without you really knowing, so much so, I noticed a difference in myself from just one class. I will be a regular attendee to Naz’s classes and highly recommend them to anyone at any level.
